German Montoya
A legacy sown with love, harvested with history.

“Located in the La Estrella village, El Paraíso farm is much more than fertile land for coffee—it’s a living testimony to over 150 years of coffee-growing tradition. Founded by my great-great-grandparents who arrived from Antioquia, this land has been lovingly cared for by four generations of passionate coffee farmers, passed down like a treasured heirloom: from my grandparents, to the leadership of Pedronel Montoya —former President of the Municipal Coffee Committee— then to my uncle Roberto Montoya, and after his passing, to four siblings, including my father.
Five years ago, after my father’s death, I took over the farm, driven by a strong commitment to honor his legacy. Today, we cultivate around 50,000 coffee trees, of varieties such as Castillo Rosario, Cenicafé 1, Castillo 2.0, and a small portion of Catimore. Each one is carefully processed using the washed method, and dried in traditional drying houses and marquesinas, preserving the best qualities of each bean.
More than just a cup of coffee, every sip is a tribute, a living memory, and a firm step toward a future where tradition becomes pride”
