Angeleidy Betancourt
The Flavor that Comes from La Rosita

In the mountains of the San Rafael neighborhood in Apía, Risaralda, at 1,750 meters above sea level, lies Finca La Rosita, the home and heart of Angeleidy Betancourt’s work, a coffee-growing woman who represents the legacy, strength, and transformation of Colombian coffee.
From a very young age, Angeleidy took on responsibilities at the farm after the loss of her father. Alongside her mother, Luz Doris, and now also with the support of her daughter, they have made coffee their way of life, cultivating not only beans but also dreams, perseverance, and quality.
The farm has 19,000 Castillo variety trees. Here, coffee is carefully tended to: the process begins with floating and manually selecting cherries, followed by a controlled fermentation lasting between 18 and 36 hours, and finally, the beans are sun-dried, as tradition dictates.
For the past five years, Angeleidy has focused her work on producing specialty coffee, aiming to highlight the best of her region and the unique characteristics that Risaralda’s land provides. Her commitment to quality and respect for the process has led the name Finca La Rosita to be increasingly recognized for its flavor and its story.
Angeleidy is more than a coffee grower; she is a mother, a daughter, and a guardian of a legacy. Her story is a testament to how coffee unites generations and transforms lives.
